What are these called, and where can I get a pair?

Well, that's a loaded question!  Seriously, I know these attach to the cross member attached to the front bumper brackets, and that the front bumperettes attach to these.  Trouble is, I don't know what they're called, or where I can find another pair of them, either aftermarket, or original.  As you can see in the picks, mine are pitted pretty badly.  I'd rather replace them, instead of repairing them.

Does anybody know what they're called, and where I can get a pair?

Thanks,
Mike

The car is a '68 Charger, and I assumed that the front bumperettes bolted to these, which are attached under the cross member that attaches to the bottoms of both front bumper brackets.  Without these parts, how would the bumperettes attach?

Of course, I may be using the wrong parts entirely, as I bought the car as a rolling basket case, not all parts included.  There is a MoPar part number on the brackets, I think it says 2962548.  The last digit is hard to read, it might be something else...

The bumper guards bolt to a crossmember.
Like tantop I have not seen anything like that on my charger.

UFO,

Thanks for the posting of parts page!  When I bought my car, it came with a front bumper, but no braces at all.  I bought repro bumper brackets, and later I saw on Ebay an ad for the cross member, which came with the two pieces in the photos I attached.  I (wrongfully) assumed that I needed these on my car.

Your posting from the parts book shows me that I don't even need them, so thanks for clearing that up!

There's a 2962546 in the '70-'71 parts catalog.
Belongs to '70 W series frt bumper guard(which is charger-coronet).
The diagram for the charger bumper doesn't have anything that comes close.
The diagram for the coronet line has a piece that may well be what you have.

I think the Charger had something similar looking but a "L" shape for the grille mounting. I think. Haven't gotten that far yet.
