The radiator cracked (again) on my Charger. So I have decided to have a whole new one built using the tank top with the chrysler insignia and correct PN.

But this weekend it was beautiful here and everyone was out with their cars and bikes. The Charger sits (radiatorless) in the carpoint. This is killing me, not to be able to drive it....

Man,,, that stinks... But just know, there'll be another good weekend for sure. Hopefully you can utilize the original top tank. Good luck on the repair.

Been there from 1984 to mid 1990s,  :RantExplode:
keep those number tanks, come get mine (not really, they are shop art).  I have NOT had an overheating problem in the last three cars which I have put new griffin, new clutch fan and shroud on.  My  :Twocents: purge the rebuilt OE crap in this case, go get a new tank and one less thing to worry about. ....... (and it is hot here, 108 Sunday, not like I in New England or Alaska or somewhere.  Last day I drove one of mine it was 100 degree day).

Was the weather not nice enough to cruise a drop top Challenger?

Challenger still not running right, got to check up on it. Had an "expert" going thru it last week and have heardn't the final results.

I like the idea of sitting in the car and making motor noises. Just my style.....

Too bad you weren't closer.  Benson could probably diagnose your issues & have it running right in no time.

Started disassembling mine in October 2007, I feel your pain.

Wish I had the money, parts and know how to put it the rest of the way back togeather.

Decided to have the orig 22" rad redone in 3 rows dimple design. ready next week sometime...hate these summer days w/o the Charger. Mechanic says we also have to check for pressure build up in the heads or it may blow the raditor again.

Happy Cruzin' to you all!

I know how you feel, been there since 2005, when I sold my last restored and running car to fund the Charger but then the new house came, 2 kids were born, you know the drill then.....

NOS is nice, turbo's are neat, but when it comes to Mopars, there's no need to cheat...

Finally got "triple green" back. Had to change the headgaskets and clean out the passageways. I guess something in the head was blocked or partially blocked and was causing pressure to build up too fast, Had cracked my radiator 5 times in two years.

With this and the new 3-core I drove the car in 82 degree weather yesterday and even sat thru multiple stop light interations...and it never even got hot.

Next big trip "cruise to the end of the world". Long Beach, WA 9/9-9/11. 200 miles each way.

BTW, it seems to want to spin the tires more than usual. Maybe the warmer weather?

Just sold my triple green 69 recently because of my ex.  :brickwall:   At least you got a nice Charger.  I put a 4 row on mine when I had my radiator redone and kept the original top.
