plastic chrome around tail lights

Does anyone know if the chrome trim around the tail lights on a 69 charger are available, or where you can have them rechromed?

That trim is metal not plastic. I believe they can be rechromed at most local chrome shops. I do not know of anyone reproducing them.

does anyone have a good way of reinstalling them after they are removed.

A bit of clear silicone works well

I just had mine done, have the chrome shop beware of the tabs that hold the chrome bezel to the plastic light they can get caught in the buffer and ruin the piece (guess how I know that)  The clear silicone works great (Thanks Chris) Take your tome glueing them together and they will turn out great. Polish the lenses when they are apart and re-apply the silver stripe- it's not hard to do use painters tape and a rattle can. John

The info was great, thought for sure they were plastic, but it makes it alot easier to chrome them since they are metal.
