For 2nd gen.

Looks good on some pics, but quite expensive to buy repro.

Opinions - how does it alter/improve the looks of the car?

I think it depends on the car.  Color, options, attitude all play a part.  Some cars I like it and some I don't.  What do you want to do, it's your car?

agree - depends on combo...

Mine will soon become triple black...

seen an awesome pic of triple black 69 with them on, but can´t decide on if/how it improves looks - but tend to think that it does look very nice!

They're not going back on my triple black '69 R/T SE. I just don't care for them myself.   
They do seem to look better on vinyl top cars than non vinyl top cars.

  They are CHEAP compared to the "Ribbed" ones I had to get for the '69 500...  Those cost me a MINT.  I plan to get some for my R/T SE when I go to spring fling to save my shipping chargers...
