Reverse pattern manual shift auto.

I bought a complete  fresh ?? automatic with a 3000 Stall speed converter and reverse pattern Manual  shift valve body. After 45 years of 1st, 2nd and D cars  I do not like the reverse shift pattern .  (I did put on a rev Limiter for safety)   I do not know what brand the kit was  but can anyone tell me if it would be easy to put a manual shift standard pattern Valve body in, or was there maybe mods done to tranny that would not allow it?
