sail panel emblems place

Hi guys!

Can someone give us the exact place where the emblems go on the sail panel?need the location for the holes so i can drill them out!also how are you suppose to fix them up?got brand new ones from year one!our car had the back 1/4 panels changed or got the holes filled up and can't see the holes!

thanks a lot ,and how you fix them up?i have a old one which has threads on those two pointy things but the brand new ones are smooth!just drill the holes a bit smaller then those pointy things and it will stay there?i don't have a clue how it would be solid up there!would hate to lose them or just someone steal them!

Hi Peter,

You'll need to lay hands on some speed nuts. Take an emblem to an auto parts store with you to get the correct size speed nut. These nuts have sharp thread cutting blades so they thread the posts as you snug them down. Be careful not to buy speed nuts that are too small because as you tighten them down they will snap the posts off. Good Luck.

I believe the size you need is 1/4" but check to be sure ........could be 3/16.

If you want to install the Charger script without accessing the back where one would have to remove the headliner, then use barrol clips.  One disadvantage however would be that someone could "pop off" the script when you're not looking.
