I may have to move to Texas, the California birds just crap on our Road Runners.

Great pic, thanks.

That is a great story and picture. I grew up in southern Okla and have seen a lot of roadrunners but never that close they allways seemed to be skittish.

TexasStroker

Glad ya'll enjoyed it...it is honestly one of the coolest shots I have ever seen.

Idk how big his shop is, I think the fact that it is just the car in there might have something to do with it, lol.

I agree though, most roadrunners (of the non-plymouth) variety tend to scoot when you get too close.  He said that was the 2nd or 3rd time he had caught the roadrunner on his car, he just thought to bring the camera this time!

He will actually have his Roadrunner (in primer) out at Amarillo Dragway when Drag Week comes thru town...I'll try to sneak away from work and I'll be sure to check the passenger seat for a roadrunner, haha.

I was thinking the same thing.  Man I love those RR years.
This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.

Cool pix, they're all over in the SW.

Several years ago I drove OTR for Roadrunner Trucking.  Even had the bird on the trucks.

On the CB other drivers' called us Skinny Chicken.

I started out @ 17 cents a mile.   :rotz:  But I got to drive a large car & drive for an outfit that had a Mopar name.

I've been out of town, glad ya'll enjoyed it...I still come back to that picture and think how cool it is.

Joe, the owner, should have his car out at MAAD here in 2 weeks...it will be in primer, but I'll get some shots for the RR crowd.  It is going to be NICE when he is done.  Not sure the roadrunner would be as welcome on the finished paint, but if he catches it I'll be sure to come back and post here  ;D
