Engine Harness Wiring questions??

I am working on the engine harness of my 68 Charger, 440 engine. I have what I think is an Alt wire on a new harness I purchased from Year One. But this wire is thinner than the original one on my engine. Is this the correct wire to use? See pic.

Also there are 2 wires that I think go to the coil, but my wiring diagram says one is supposed to be brown, but it's black & yellow. The blue one I think goes to the +, is this correct? And does the black & yellow go to the -? See 2nd pic.

Thanks for the help!
Sid

The purple wire along with alt connector is the horn power source

black and yellow, - lead of coil ( on electronic ignitions )

blue, + lead of coil

+ lead of coil turned out brown on 71s I think

as far the copper is same gauge not a problem. Is not uncommon get wires with diff rubber cover thickness

Thank you!
Now another question? On the Alt, it's marked battery-I have the violet and black wire hooked to it. Then the Dark green wire is hooked up to FLD , and there is another wire that's the same length as the green one that went to FLD that is Dark Blue that is marked IGN. Where would that go? On my Alt there are 2 FLD connectors and no IGN connector. The motor is a 440 from a 77 New Yorker and the wiring harness is for a 68 Charger from Year One.

The heavy black wire on alt with horn purple feed is right .The green field is correct .The other blue wire also goes to the other field. But is key on ignition is its power source

on dual field alt/elect reg no matter which prong use to feed any of the field wires. Green, blue, anyone of them works on any of the prongs. Of course factory should use an standart to feed them, but I can't remember which one where.
