Me, I gave up watching the 24 hr news channels.

By design they play to people's basest fears/desires, and due to the need to continuously have new news, or just fill in the blanks, tend to feed their audiences pablum, vitriol and consumption based commentary.

Besides, Weiner's weiner is way more important than secret Yemeni airstrikes, or the possibility of a nuke crisis brewing in Nebraska.
