radiator needed

Anybody have an 054 radiator for sale. I have an 055 but I've been told thats not correct for my car?

You could have either radiator in your daytona depending on your cooling package option.Also Glen Ray repos the radiators .If originals are to pricey

I've already spoken with Glen Ray about this.  He's the one that said I should have an 054 since my car didn't have air and was an automatic.  There's a great Radiator shop around here that I used years ago with my 71 satelite and I asked them abot redoing a core for me.  They said they could do a recore and make an extra 25% cooling capacity and do the whole thing for $375.  They do a nice job, I just need the correct rad.

sorry for the mini hijack 

i did know this but have forgotten     whats the difference between 054 & 055  

1 number.     I think it had to do with an extra row of cooling or something like that.

The chart above is applicable for any 1969 B-body with a 440 or 426, which would include but is not limited to Daytonas.  1970 used a totally different series of radiator part numbers, and AFAIK the 956 should be in most (if not) all 'Birds just as you've said.  My guess is that the 956 is 1970's version of the 054 from the previous year.  I don't have the same Chrysler Engineering resource material for 1970 to confirm such, but it seems likely that's the case.  The Technical SErvices Fleet Engineering Sheet for the 'Bird did state that Max Cooling was mandatory, which should have meant 956's went in everything regardless of trans/axle combination.

I hadn't realized the 054/055 rads were for 69 , thought 054 was for Hemi cars only for 69-71
