just been doing the selector shaft seals on the old 727,looks like there should be a circlip and maybe a washer on here :shruggy:
I don't care what is is designed to do,I want to know what it can do.

yes, there should be a circlip there, it holds the second seal for the throttle pressure.

where might one aquire that size circlip,found lots on ebay but they all seem to be metric,will they work???  :shruggy: :2thumbs:

I would think a local auto parts store has assorted cripclips? or maybe sets?
I would measure the groove thickness with a vernier caliper and buy a clip that matches.

I thought England still used the Imperial stuff?

nah,all metric crap now,makes this sort of job a bit more difficult but definatly worth it  :2thumbs:
