'69 Automatic Shifter Question

I have restored my automatic floor shifter but I can't remember if there was a switch on it or not (see pic).  I have seen other shifters that have some type of switch here but I can't remember if my '69 came with one.     Can somebody please help me out and let me know.  If it's supposed to have one I will need to find one and it will help to know what it's called.

thats for the backup light switch on 68 and prior cars, 69 it was incorporated into your neutral safety switch
