In the close-up shot about half way across the surface from the big crater there is something casting a tripodlike shadow. Anyone else see it?

The History channel has a show called The Universe which sounds a lot like the above mentioned show.

Way cool info on how stars grow/age and what types of stuff goes on out there in the cosmos and how it effects, or could effect us. I was watching it with my kids (DVR is a wonderful thing) but I have been on so much business travel my free time has been squeezed. lately.

I have the series on DVR.  I like all that stuff. I like the Sci Channel but they're showing more reality stuff which I don't really like. I watch a lot of HDTV lately.

That picture reminds me of that Twilight Zone episode where some astronauts crashed on a asteroid and after awhile started killing each other off only to find out that they just crashed back into the Nevada desert.
Its like that probe was just orbiting the moon.

Whoops...  :brickwall:  Meant to imply that it was a similar show, not that they were the same.

just called the "Science Channel" there seem to be two versions, one with a british narrator and one with Mike Rowe, who I think is the best narrator in years. I'm glad he found better work, I'd say he's paid his dues...

Very cool. Thanks for posting. That pic of the moon is spectacular! I occasionally take the telescope out and look at the Moon, Jupiter and Saturn with my boy. It's not a very good one but you can see Saturn's rings and a few moons around Jupiter. I want to get out there and check out the Orion Nebula in Orion's belt. I don't think I will be able to make out much...it just looks fuzzy  :shruggy:
