Pitman arm

I tried a 2 jaw puller and that failed miserably, so now I will ask how is the best way to pull one?

As you put pressure on it with the puller wack the side with a heavy hammer.

Tried a pitman arm puller and it broke, did not notice till after I was done, but it said those words I hate to see (made in china).

Aaaaaaah you found the problem already
Really.....
Do you need to rebuild your steering gear unit? If so you can apply al little heath to the pitman arm. Then put the puller on, tighten it an then smack the arm hard a coulpe of times.
If it goes tuff maybe try to tighten the puller after each coulpe of hammer whacks........

Oh and spraying some penetrating oil on it and let it sit overnight might help just a little to....

when the let go !! ie come off the do with quite a force ,  could leave the nut on a few turns  or put a heavy rag over the whole lot while your using the puller
