What should I expect to pay for one that works?

For one that doesn't?

I paid about $60 for mine a year ago. Now there is one on ebay for $100 and still going. I have seen a few lately from $50 on up.
I pointed to two old drunks sitting across the bar from us and told my friend
"That's us in 10 years".
He said "That's a mirror, dip-shit!

Bobs69

well if you see another one of those $60 jobs let me know.

That one on eBay is going for crazy money $127.50. The antennas bring a lot of money also.

Yeah I had a friend bidding on it for me but we've stopped for now.  I don't know much about ebay, but I noticed that it's the same few people bidding, and since I haven't watched ebay before, I'm entertaining the possibility of a shill I believe the term is?

So I've been watching the radios on ebay.  Funny thing, one of them sells, then another pops up.  It's been doing that for awhile.  Is it the same guy or is the same radio just making the rounds?

Often sellers will wait until none are up to list so they don't have competition. When I have something that isn't on in large numbers, I will check to see what is on the market and wait for a time when  mine will be alone to get all the interest versus splitting interest with someone elses.

There is one at $51.00 . I bet it goes crazy at the end and bring close to $150.00.

Its strange how it works. I was watching one a couple weeks ago and close to the end it was at $41.00, I bid $51.00 and won. I saw one a couple weeks ago go for almost $200.00 and a few others around $150.00.   :shruggy:

Its already got 6 bids with 19 hours to go.  I bet you're right and it goes off the planet.

They used Sharp 40 channels as well. Those can be had cheaper. You could always use one of those, still be accurate, and wait for a deal on a Cobra.

Bobs69

Well well well.  That's a good tid-bit of information.  Thanks Brock Lee.  I'll check those out on ebay.

Bobs69

If you have a picture of one could you post it?  Thanks.
