I need to take my vinal top of off my se .How do you get the emblems off without breaking them ?

if it's a 69 or 70 you need to pull back the headliner on the side (over package shelf) Mine had a cardboard like panel, under that there are two speed nuts holding each one on.  I cheated and re-attached the new ones with epoxy. MPJ

sorry my bad it's a 73 (se). It's the emblems behind the louvers.

actually I think those have clip kind fasteners in to the holes and it can be pulled out GENTLY

wait for some 73/73 SE owner though to be sure about

On the 73-74 model they are held on by nuts on the inside.  remove the sail panels and you have easy access to them
