New one.  Jack's seem to have good prices.  They sell "Precision" brand.  Good stuff.

Patronus

I would use a new one too. Im about to install the front and rear glass myself, Ray if I may ask, did you use the "rope" for the rear glass or caulk?

hi Patronus i actually used a single pack windscreen bonding kit, which has rubber standoff blocks in the kit,the glass needs to be spaced nearly a 1/4" of the lip where the glass sits(so the stainless trim sits nice on the glass :2thumbs:

The original way for the rear screen was with butyl tape.
These days most installers will use polyurethane to refit it.
I would recommend having a pro fit that one as it's easy to make a mess if you don't know what you're doing.

As for the front glass, yes a new rubber is the best way since they're cheap enough to buy, but having said that, I've reused many Chrysler rubbers in the past with excellent results.
The compound of the rubber they used back then was extremely good, and the fact that a lot of the rubber is covered by moldings has helped preserved many of them very well.
Either way, make sure plenty of butyl mastic is used between both the glass and rubber, and the rubber and body to make sure it's sealed well.

I called the local windshield glass replacement company today and they told I could get one for my 70RR as they had them in stock.  Price was $155 which included a $20 shipping  :eek2: and tax.  Maybe the local windshield folks by you can get them.
