Was a non-console 4-speed available in a 70 Charger R/T?

I'm looking at one that someone converted from an auto and they went with the non-console shifter with center arm rest. It's a real R/T that was originally auto on the column.

Did the factory make any like this?

Yes (in theory). Option order code C21 gave you a center seat cushion and folding armrest while option code C16 gave you the console. There was no caveat that you had to have a console to have the option code D21 4-speed. Granted, I'm two years removed here from my expertise (little though it is).  ;)

He's right i had a 69 charger R/T with 4spd no console with buddy seat factory.

My 68 R/T is exactly like that. I'm sure it was still available in 70.

 My 70 Charger has a 4-speed, with buckets and no console. :yesnod:
