Brings a tear to my eye......Cuda meets semi

Saw this on the Cuda-Challenger site. It brought a tear to my eye. Thankfully the owner has full insurance with Hagerty and plans on keeping the car no matter what.

Here are a couple of shots of our Cuda taken about a half mile and unknown thousands of dollars apart. Saturday a big rig changed lanes (literally) on top of it causing it to skid from the #4 lane over to the #1 lane where it hit a Toyota which knocked it back over to the right shoulder. My son has a sore shoulder and arm but otherwise is okay and probably lucky to be alive.

ouch, its bad but with enough parts its fixable.

Sad to see, but it reminds me that after spending a ton of money on a restoration you dont want to cut corners on insurance.....

If you drive it thes things can happen...... If you want to absolute certain that this wont happen then you need to put your car in your living room behind bullet proof glass.

NOS is nice, turbo's are neat, but when it comes to Mopars, there's no need to cheat...

"Our Son"?  :scratchchin:

Yeah, I can see how a truck driver could miss a bright yellow musclecar...probably never knew it was there, because bright yellow musclecars never make the CB. Maybe the sun reflected off the hood and blinded him in the mirror. Maybe it was 2am and he was sleepy. Maybe he crossed the centerline on a blind curve in the hills.

Or maybe somebody was playing Sam Posey and got caught out.

Just sayin'.

Glad nobody was seriously injured.

#1 Thank God he's o.k.  Cars can be fixed.  The 1/2 hour before picture shows it as a beautiful car for sure.
This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.

Trucks have major blind spot all over and around them. I ran over a car that was on my right side already that was between the rear drive wheels and the passenger door. I couldnt see it in the mirrors. Thats why a lot of semi's have the signs on the back of trailers saying "Left side passing side, right side suicide".

My Dad taught me about TIME TRAVEL.
"If you don't straighten up, I'm going to knock you into the middle of next week!" :P

terrible one

Oh man, that is horrible.... But, I'm glad to hear that everyone is ok. You had an angel on your shoulder, that's for sure.  :2thumbs:

Damn that SUCKS!

But sure does look fixable, appears cosmetic.

Ive made it a habit of always passing on the correct side, also am extra nice to truckers. Will flash em when its clear to switch lanes, ive also made it a habit to flash them when i am passing so they know im coming...generally they will flash the left turn signal telling me to go ahead  :2thumbs:

Glad he is OK, says something for good old  American steel, driver side glass unbroken.

Ouch! :icon_smile_blackeye: :icon_smile_angry:
I hope there's a happy ending to that story...hope his insurance is good, too.

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

If you can't see the driver behind the wheel in his mirror then he can't see you.

I always try to give them plenty of room and stay away form the ones hauling gas and corosive materials.
