Check these out about 45 miles from my house.  Not a single one is salvagable and are barely considered parts cars.  Yes that is as far as I can tell a real 500  :o.  It has no vin tag or anything other than the stripe and plug to really tell that it is.  It was in  a real bad accident I would say 15 to 20 years ago.  The frame rails on everyone of the cars are completely toasted.  I grabbed the frame rail on the 500 right behind the shock towers and it crubled, the rear ones were pretty much none existant.  A real shame the cars may have been salvagable about 10 or so years ago but not now.  The 70 sitting there is a real R/T but is in such bad shape if you tried to pull it on to a trailer it would probably split right in 2.  I opened the door and hear a really nasty creak come from it so I shut the door and looked underneith of it and there pretty much is no floors in it at all, frame was falling apart just looking at it.  Oh not to mention the guy will not sell the cars at all and is one of those if you call him and mention them he hangs up on you.  Nice guy.

500's are so rare I know there are people out there that would love to restore it, but with no fender tag umm maybe not and it might take years to get a title.

That 500 is worth saving, just because it's a '69 500. It would be a major pain to restore but someone would do it I'm sure.

jwilk01

Trust me there is no way to restore that car the only good thing on the car is the plug and that is almost to the point of not being worth it.  2 more years out there and it will be just a pile of dust.  The cars are in Ohio, not florida.

Yea, it can be done. I may not have seen worse cars restored but I've seen its equal. I'm not the one to do it but more than one guy out there has the skills.

MoparYoungGun

That just brought tears to my eyes. I wonder if that really is a legit 500?

MyMopar

You don't ask if they are for sale, walk up with cash in hand and say how about X$ for that car just sitting rotting over there.  Sometimes they will bite when they see money (so stand back) and sometimes they are too stupid to even know what money is.

KMPX2

Looks like some kind of storage yard will they tell you who owns them?
