I need to replace the torsion mount crossmember and was wondering if there is anything extra I need to do to the body while it is removed to keep it from flexing or will it be ok?  It is currently on all four tires, should it be up on jack stands?

Thanks,
Dave

Hmm . . . Not really sure on that one.

I would worry about the front subframe rails moving in relation to the rockers & rest of the center cabin of the car.  The factory front torque box plating wouldn't hurt.

I wouldn't worry much about it. As long as the K-member is still in and the floor is attached to the rockers nothing can move. I would probably weld in a brace nearby just because it's easy to do.

The full torsion mount cross member drops in from the top.  Mine was done on a rotisserie and the floors were removed.
