I have the opportunity to pick up a 73 Charger as a parts car for my 72 but I don't want to get it if I can't use any of the body panels. I'm really only interested in the sail panel and maybe the hood, but I need a few bits of floor if it has any left. The guy I'm getting the 72 from has parts as well that he's going to sell me for 300 bucks that include a hood, rear bumper and fenders but it's always nice to have lots of spares. Room is a little sparse at my house since I'm reserving space for a 69 Charger and a 70 Challenger so I don't really have room for the 73 Charger unless it's going to be of use to me.
If I don't end up buying the 73 I can always get pics of some of the parts if anyone else is looking for anything.

I bought a 74 to build my 73 WannaBee.  The lines won't match up on the fenders but I believe the sail pannels and roof are the same.  I paid $500 for mine.  I used one fender, deck lid, seat belts, and a few other pieces.  I sold the 400/727 for $300 and got at least $200 more from misc. other parts.  I still have a few parts from the car, but it was well worth it.  If you take it apart it is much easier to store and you will get the parts you need and probably pay for the parts car :Twocents:

The hood and some sections of the floor may interchange buat as for the fenders 73-74 are similar but different from the 71-72 in the shape and size of the wheel openings and of course the marker lights. Same thing with the 1/4's and the sail panel area is a different shape entirely.

I think I'll stay away from the 73 then. If I took it home as a parts donor my wife would fall in love with it and I would end up with another project. It happened with the 73 Duster, I was planning on transplanting the 340 in my Cuda, but she adopted the Duster. She did find me a 70 340 to replace the one I didn't get out of the Duster though.
