I know the 67 Mr. Norm Supercharger funny went to Roger for one of his "Color Me Gone" rides but does anyone know what happened to it after that?  Did someone else use the car after Lindamood was finished with it?

Actually, I thought it was the other way around  :scratchchin:

When Roger Lindamood upgraded to a 66 charger flopper and sold the 65 AFX car to Mr Norm.
Then when Lindamood was upgrading to the 68 Charger FC he sold the 66-67 altered wheel base charger flopper to Mr norm once again.

I have 2 file cabinets full of vintage magizines from 1973 and older. I'll have to dig thru them and see what I come up with.

But , to answer it, I don't know if any of the CMG floppers are accounted for or not. with exception to I think the  challenger bodied funny car is accounted for.

Ghoste

Yeah, I'm pretty sure the Challenger is accounted for.  So then even if I'm backwards on who had it first, whether Roger or Norm the car still remains a mystery?

gtx6970

I'm not 100% sure who owned it first.
but as far as I know , both the charger floppers are MIA

Ghoste

Okay, and here's the reason I brought it up in the first place.  In my endless pile of crap laying around on my desk I spotted a photo of a fastback flopper that looked very much like Lindamood's.  It had the altered wheelbase (which means nothing as I'm sure there were a few fiberglass Chargers with that mod) but the paint looked like they took the Color Me Gone scheme and just added a bit here and there to make it their own.  I realize it could have been a fan of Roger or coincidence or nothing at all but there was enough similiarity to make me go hmmmm.  Now there is even more hmmm because if it went from Roger to Norm then I still have this white and blue Charger Funny I hadn't heard of before.
Naturally, I can no longer locate the photo and I can't recall if it was a work pile or a home pile.

afaik,
There were 3 or 4 different altered wheelbase 66-67 charger body styled funny cars back then.this is just the ones I can think of off the top oy my head

There was a light blue car called  'stardust' , a 'tickled pink'  car and then the  Mr norm and the CMG car. I would have to do some digging to get a better time line as to who had what when to narrow it down.

And i'm not 100% sure if any all or none are same car/cars with different  owners/paint schemes

Although the 'stardust' and the 'tickled pink' cars were pretty radically altered wheelbases  compared to the Norm +/or CMG cars .

ps, I just thought of this. I don't think the stardust or the tickled pink cars were actual ' flip up bodied ' funny cars, just radically altered door slammer cars

If you need somewhere to spend, oh mabye a year or two, Look around over here sometime.
I've never posted antyhing but i do look around there from time to time .

Definitely not Stardust, that one I'm familiar with.  I'll have to search for a pic of that Tickled Pink one in color but I don't think that was it either.

Not to nitpick or go off on a tangent but I think the Lindamood car had the wheelbase changed around as much as the Schumaker car didn't it?  The front of Color Me Gone certainly met the front bumper in the same way.
