100001 would be the first built @ the Hamtramck or St. Louis plant...not necessarily a Charger though

100001 would be the first VIN assigned at each plant, but that does not mean it was the first car built.

As one example, 100052 is a 1970 Hamtramck car & it's broadcast sheet shows that it was the first build scheduled on assembly line 1.  Cars were not built in VIN order. ;)

Please elaborate.  I am sure you are correct, but I had never heard that.  I am curious to know more.  I understand that SPO's are not necessarily accurate.  Thanks.
