I bought this car hauler a couple of years ago now and have been trying to find out more about its history.  In the passanger door frame there is a Valvoline sticker showing that it was used as a participants vehicle at the 1971 NHRA Summernationals in Englishtown.  It was fully loaded with a 383, 727, air, radio, running lights, P/S, P/B and a factory bed notched for a very large oil pan.  It was originally blue with a white hood.  On the side of the hood it said "NOT FOR HIRE" and there was a red stripe down the center of the hood and across the front edge of the hood.  If anyone has or knows of a copy of the program for that race or any pictures in the pit areas it would be super.  Thanks, YO, SBBob

Good luck,  The haulers seem to be much harder to track history than the cars.   They are neet though!

Lots of pics there!  I have never found a pic of mine in action except the NASCAR Magazine you sent me showing Niel Castles using it to transport movie cars.  I am not sure Cotton ever used mine at the track or strip :shruggy:

You guys are GREAT!  Thanks for the info.  Still no luck, but will show up somewhere I hope.  I think it belonged to someone who was factory sponsored.  This truck is FULLY LOADED everything you could get on a truck  that year it has.  A friend said that he thought it might be someone well known as the single cab meant a driver drove the truck from race to race while the race driver was probably flown there.  Just a thought.  Again thanks, SBBob
