I was at my buddies when his brother pulls up in this original 39 Desoto.  A few panels were repainted but most of it is all original.  Its amazing how some cars can last this long and most cars and parts just fall apart.  He said it has options like Over drive, dual horns fog lamps a radio, clock , and lighter.

Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.  Especially if they have access to the internet.

Won't you sign up your name, we'd like to feel you're

Not as long as he owns it. He said that style with 2 doors is extremely  rare and it's loaded. The original owner bought it and drove it until 1967. It sat in a garage until 1997 then she had it put back to running condition and sold it to a guy that put it on eBay. Then my friend bought it. I think he said it has 26k. I didn't even hear him pull in the driveway. Whisper quiet. 3 speed on the column and optional over drive. I love the fog lamps.

That car is a beaut and a keeper! That car must have been top 'o line back in the day. I sure hope he knows what he has. Very nice!  :2thumbs: :2thumbs:
FLY NAVY/Marine Corps or take the bus!

Are those headlights square? Maybe I am too young to know better, but I thought all cars before the 70s had round headlights.

What a survivor. So many parts are still like new giving you a real glimpse into the past. For sure this car should never be modified.
