What's under the hood of your car ? I know it's a hemi but i've never seen build details. Great Car ! Ron

Well since you asked, Ron, I'll share. :icon_smile_big:  Twist my arm please. :whistling:

The color btw is Hemi Orange. It shows up in pictures sometimes as mango or yellow, or often as red too. But it is most definitely Hemi Orange. I'm told that when painted by the 3rd owner (I'm number 4) it was done with the original PPG mix of Tor-Red Irridescent, not the modern Hemi Orange (V2).

I bought it 18 months ago, about 80% done. Working at finishing it to my liking.

Cast iron 1968 Hemi block, bored and stroked to 505 inches.
Built by Shanons Engineering (designer of the original Big Foot).
INDY 1RA Legend heads (ported and massaged by Shanons).
Ross pistons, 9.5-1
SCAT crank, Akerly rings, Oliver rods
COMP cam, hydraulic roller (custom grind by Shanons)
INDY valves and rockers
Crane lifters, COMP springs
Charlies custom oil pan
INDY MAXX custom oil pump
Mopar Performance M1 intake
ProMax 850 carb
MSD complete electronic components

Hasn't been on a dyno yet, claimed to be built for 660 hp. All I know is that it is stupid fast. Very well mannered on the street with 91 octane gas.

Finished off with TTI ceramic headers and exhaust to the tips. And electric cutouts (fun!)
Griffin radiator
Torqueflite 727 highly modified by A&A Transmissions, TCT, Dynamic, B&M.
Gear Vendors overdrive
and Dana 60 with Richmond 4.10s
finished with CalTrac suspension

Hasn't been to the track yet, hoping for this summer.

Happy New Year!

Thanks Ron, yes lots of thought and effort spent on those details. The goal is the track this summer, expecting low 12s, and why not get into the 11s. I'm the amateur who would be holding it back.

The last summer's possible racing evaporated with oiling problems, I just won't run it until the nagginig problems are fixed. I can't wait to post more.

Very nicely built motor and I am sure it will be in the low 11's pushing that kind of hp! Similar to mine but mine is not a stroker, just a little overbore (431 cu.in.) and it dynoed at 588hp at 6500 rpm.
