...Our very own Jonathan Klinger has agreed to drive a Model A for the next 12 months as his daily driver -- no exceptions, even for the severe winter weather we can often see here in Michigan. The campaign, "365 Days of A," is intended to prove that these older cars are reliable and that you can depend on them for regular transportation -- and have some fun in the meantime. (And no, since it's a daily car, we're not insuring it...). If you're going to be going through some car withdrawal this winter, be sure to follow Jonathan's adventures at http://www.365daysofa.com/

This ought to be interesting. :2thumbs:

What year is the Model A? Does it have windows?? Some of the very early ones didn't have windows.

I think Jon told me it was a 29? I went to college with Jon. He is a friend of mine. He'll be just fine. :2thumbs:

It began it's life as a daily driver so why not?  In truth with the number of Model A's I seem to cross paths with during a year I'd have to classify most of them as being reliable good running cars even after all these years.

Not on the Model A they didn't.  They did do the initial engines (and a lot of the engineering) for the Model T though.

I don't know that I'd necessarily agree with that either.  They weren't OMG radically different but they were different enough to call it all Ford IMO.

Who is going to insure it, i don't think it can be used for daily transportation?
