I'm talking about auto related signs more than things like a clock with a strip outlining the face.  I don't have any myself but I've always been fascinated by some of the old auto advertising utilizing neon.

Would love to have one of those signs, I see them at Mecum's but they are really expensive.

The signs are expensive thats why I don't have any myself.  You also need a shop large enough to properly display it but the stuff still draws me to it whenever I am in someone's place that has some.

I've got one as pictured in Tan Top's post. Got it for like $39 a few years ago at the Nats.

I generally leave the thing turned off though. It's a bug trap. I've got to disassemble it every so often to empty the carcasses.

No kidding?   I have one of those myself but I haven't noted any more problem with that than any other garage lighting.  Maybe I should take it apart and look.
