Is there a famous wing car that remains unaccounted for?

Don't know exactly why this is on my mind, I guess it just seems like all of the famous cars have been found.  Or have they?  Are there still a couple that have disappeared from the hobby's collective radar?

DAY CLONA

There's still the B5/sunroof 70 Daytona that I saw back around 1977 :scratchchin:

Another 70 Daytona? What's the total 1970 Daytona's now, four? Your watermelon car, the red one, the purple one, and now the blue one?

I used to own a Daytona, bought it new. Glacier blue, but I ended up painting it flat black with flames. Somewhere I have photos of it.

The "red" one was a hoax perpertrated on Bill Haige, guy "quietly" bought what he thought was the remains of a 70 Daytona, body parts, driveline, sunroof, tags, BS, vin, even microfince records :eyes:....with the intent of "building" or "RE-bod,..eh building" a 70 Daytona,...guy was duped out of about 6 fiqures,.....to my knowledge there's only 3 70 Daytona "created" back in the day,...JJ's purple sunroof model, the "watermellon", and the B5 sunroof rt/se, last I saw of the B5 was in 1977

If you finished the rest of the thread Dave,...he later said in jest, that it was a FWD Daytona :nana:

Maybe that B5 blue sunroof daytona is in that magazine

I do have a vintage photo taken for the late 69/ early 70 winter Dodge dealer display in Michigan showcasing the new 70 Challenger vert on the typ circular raised Dodge platform (Black and White photo, it may be the FM3 vert).......along side the display is the "original" 70 Daytona "watermellon" car, and several 69 Daytonas, as well as a host of new-4-70 Mopars, plus a Mr.Norms fiberglass 69 Daytona funnycar body.......was given to me by a gentleman at Carlisle, Penn. from a magazine article

What about that black New Mexico Superbird that was siezed by police and used as a highway patrol car back in the day? Whatever happen to that one? I also remember a story about a '69 Daytona sitting in a quarry somewhere up here in Canada but I don't think that one was ever found either....

The Superbird used in the Wynns magazine ad.

The Tor-Red Superbird used on the cover of Stock Car Racing, March '70.  Is it the same car that was used for pre-race photo purposes at Daytona?

The white Superbird used in the dealer brochure.

The Chicago Auto Show orange Superbird, probably used in Detroit and LA too.

Redbird

The Vit-C Superbird that was at the Chicago Auto Show I believe was also at the Detroit and New York shows. I have a color picture of it at the New York show. It would be interesting to see the broadcast sheet for it to see if it had special preparation notes on it. If it went to those 3 shows it was also likely at more regional shows. What were the dates of the LA show?
