repairing window channel

i have a about one inch section of widow channel  a little rusted out hows the best way to reapair these spots

 :smilielol: im tryin to turn my screen while tilting my head so i can look at the pic. :smilielol: when my head got far enough over, i realized what part of the window it was. :smilielol: but agree 100% cut and weld. just got tickled with my head bent over. :2thumbs:

3rd Gen is probably much different.  2nd gen the bends are 90 in the channel and 120 to meet the deck filler panel.
helps to have a shrinker and stretcher, but you can snip relief cuts, bend/beat in the radius, and tack weld back together

the part im needing to repair is on the side above the door where the trim fastens down in the recess
