That camaro looks good. What did your friend do to the suspension or any other mods?

Yes he has put all the money into the suspension and the brakes, he gutted the interior, installed the cage, and fitted some nice slicks on it, he is constantly the fastest at our auto-crosses. My old GTP finished 19 out of 37 cars...

Do you autocross the Charger?

See, heres the problem, the charger is not the most reliable vehicle on the road, and at this point, I don't have to funds to drive it that carelessly (I have a study abroad term in Germany that I need to pay for). Add that with the fact it has 10 inch drums all the way around, and no sway bars, and it will look like a joke. So this year I didn't do anything with it. However I hope to find some funds to upgrade to 11 inch disc brakes all the way around. Then I may be able to give it a whirl.

Check out a video of my buddy taking his mazda around the course.

To tell you the truth, if I didn't have this Heat Transfer test to study for, I was ready to drive up to my house and get it, but it just wasn't in the cards... and those walls look scary!  Hopefully around this time next year you will see some epic videos of the charger kicking ass!

For now I can only show you this...

About 8 years ago I was looking to get into SCCA auto crossing & I think the Charger was at the discretion of the official if it could run. Not that I was going to but I looked it up and the long wheel base & a stock suspension would have been rough on the tight courses they run. That's when I had my Mustang GT but was thinking of building a 64-66 barracuda.

Mustangs do well. but they like to flip... In the pic of me in the 944 they had a Thunder Road race that day with muscle cars and they had about 5 mustangs on their roofs that day. We had a 928 flip after that race was over due to the track was like slippery wax from all the heat and rubber the muscle cars left behind.
