Sweet!  Congrats on the win!  All the whiners can step up to the plate and become very familiar with the tail panel of the 69 Charger...most likely a view they saw regularly back in the day  :coolgleamA:

Mike

One for me. :icon_smile_big:

Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

I had to add my  :Twocents: after reading the cry babies comments'''

"Who are these nambie pambie cry babies?.. The hobbie has evolved way beyond the trailer queen scene, Mr. Mike Musto is the real deal, An enthusiast and automotive writer, a real racer and a GREAT Guy!
His persona Of Mr. Angry is a Joke people... You couldn't meet a nicer more even tempered guy,.. He pours his heart and soul into this hobby and his endeavors. Even Hollywood recognizes and pays tribute (though badly). Who wouldn't want to build a old school muscle machine into it's ultimate modern iteration?..
Go take a Q-tip to your ashtray"...

congrats Mike, I love the car a well deserved win.

Mike:  Congratulations.  I love that you're out there doing what you do.  I knew people were going to go bug-fuck over this recognition.  Sad – yet still pretty funny too.  You should consider the "middle-finger" effect you wanted well achieved.  As to what's next...?  I also like the 3rd gen idea.  (Or maybe a General Lee.  :stirthepot:  )

BTW, Brock - I think your comments are 100% on point.

And a well said  :Twocents: , even with the jacked up punctuation.  ;)

One of my favourite comments.....sort of puts it up the purists a bit too

"Oh Please! Does not anyone respect good honest work anymore, whether it is a hot rod or a restored Packard? Do some people not realize the word "restored" is not a part of the title of Hemmings Muscle Machines? The key word is "muscle"! These cars were never meant to be pampered, they were meant to run! They were sold so that the average joe could have a straight from the factory hot rod and the parts department made (and the aftermarket) made sure the parts were there for the serious speed guy!
I bet there were a bunch of "classics" that are revered now that were highly modified by their owners to their taste back then with little regard to the "correctness" of it!
Actually, with the current thinking of "it-has-to-restored-to-factory-specs" thinking that has taken over the muscle car hobby, all those "classics" with custom hand-built bodies that never came from the "factory" that way should be crushed, they are not "correct"!
Jeez, people, get over it! Times are changing! Either we go with the changes and accept things or the hobby will die!
These comments come from a very close minded person...I can't stand imported cars and don't like anything that doesn't have an American nameplate on it. But that doesn't mean I can't respect the work and the interest that someone has in a car I wouldn't have for my own.
Ok I'm stepping down from the soapbox, I need to go get another beer anyways
!"
Make it idiot proof, and somebody will make a better idiot!

If you think Education is difficult, try being stupid!
