Howdy, I organise a run every year out to a YMCA Camp out in the rural backblocks about an hours drive out of town. This year the numbers were down a bit, we had around 40 cars and 70 people but there was a great selection of cars and it's more about the families involved and getting your car out for a day with a few likeminded people than having the flashest one out there.

The Bobs Choice Best American Car was a split choice this year, it went ( surprisingly  :icon_smile_big: ) to a pair of Dodge Chargers, both owned by good friends who have just got them back on the road after an extensive rebuild.
one is a 70 500 in silver and the other is a 69 GL clone, both very fine cars. I gave the award cup to the GL's guys' 4 year old son and his Dad told me the next day the youngster cannot stop talking about his "Piston Cup"  :smilielol:

A few pics.

Cheers people, was a Top Day out, Yeah-we really enjoyed it and are glad we put it on, we've got some bigger plans for next years one.
Yes, the 50's cars hold pretty special status over here as there are few of them, but the folks that own them generally have them so well prepared and looked after, but , man they are so cool and its great to see a few of them out on the cruise. The chap with the D500 two tone was driving it instead of his 58 Fury with the motor out, the D car is his Dad's and a whole group of them have Furys & Imperials and the like.

We're going on a cruise weekend next month about 5 hours away and are really looking forward to that one  :2thumbs:
