I am trying to locate  the superbird my father bought in 1970. It was Alpine white, bench seat, auto on the colunm, 440 4 bbl.
It was originally purchased at Bonnevilles and sons in Manchester NH. He was the originally owner and the last name is Drouin. Unfortunitly we no longer have a vin. I know that would make things alot easier.
If any one has any info of this cars whereabouts I would be VERY  interested to know anything. Thanks

Hi, I had a white 'Bird that came N.H. The odd thing about it was that it had white painted 14" wheels with the pie pan hubcaps.
When I got the car it had little letter Goodyear Polyglas SNOW tires on the back.
It also had Eping Dragstrip stickers in the quarter windows.  Any pics of the car?
I have the vin# and I  know the current owner.   If you think its your dad's car, I'll ask the current owner if its O.K. to post the info.                        Wingnut426

Wow That sounds very close. Heres another clue for you, In 1971 when it was sold it had a trailer hitch, record player under the dash and a GTO judge hood tach.
I do have pics, however they are very grainy as were all pictures in the 70s and New England dragway in Epping is in my neck of the woods. I would love to talk to the owner to find out more. I can give him my email or cell number if that works. Let me know and thanks for your help.

He was never in a club as I dont think they existed in 1970-71

This car seems to be one of the better deals available lately, but it's still not something I can afford.

The last wing car that was affordable to me was a white Superbird Pete Veight was selling back around 1990. If I remember right, he was asking $17,000 & said he would probably take $15,000 for it. It was a clean, older resto that still looked really good. Not a top show car, but with some detailing it could be pretty nice & something fun. I had just bought my house & the timing chain in my Scamp went & took the rest of the motor with it. It was my daily driver & I had to wait for my tax return for money to fix it.

Hi Shawn,  The Superbird I had did not have a hood mounted tach, record player or rear hitch.  In the picture of your dad's car I can clearly see rallye wheels. My car had plain white wheels, so I don't think it was the same car.
20 years ago I met the Chrysler Regional Director for the Northwest U.S.  He said there was 13 white Superbirds sold in New England. Good luck with your search.

Im going to give that link a read through. It does look lika a hood tach, Man that would be cool. I also put a call to carroll st and am waiting to hear back. Dad says hood tach was black in 71, but who knows what could happen in 40 years.
Any more info is welcome you guys have been very helpful. Thanks
