so I'm still struggling with getting a working ps pump into the 3rd gen. Since the replacement pump I ordered had a different press fit shaft size, and I couldn't find a pulley anywhere, I decided to order a rebuild kit and repair the leaky one I have. So I order the seal kit for the chrysler/federal pump that came with a 3rd gen charger with a 400, and it doesn't fit at all. At least now that the pump is disassembled, I might have a better chance identifying the model number.

Does anyone recognize this pump? The number on the front reads  2129823-3, and on the reservoir side there's a pad with 'D 30' stamped on it.

Looking at the part #, I think that would be mid 60's, possibly a Thompson pump. Those pumps are about 1/4" bigger diameter than the Federal pumps. I think they stopped using them in 1967. Here's a little info: http://www.hoffmanswinnerscircle.com/cat16.htm
If it ain't broke, fix it 'till it is.
