I may have missed it in another thread.

Whats your plan?

Frame off restoration?
Just body and paint?
Engine rebuild?

It looks like you have a really good Charger body to work on.

hydroforce

I want a full restoration-
I'm not sure about off frame but would love to do that, I'm very very intimidated by this car and am taking "baby" steps in everything I touch.
I'm trying to do as much as I possibly can myself before having to send it out. I NEVER thought I would have even done this much to it myself, but I love this car and want to be a part of it's newcoming if you will.
Yes, I got very lucky with a very solid car to start out with, I thought I paid alot at the the time, $6500.00 about 4 yrs ago.
Funny thing is, I was so intimidated by this car I just looked at it for the past 3.5 yrs- never even sat in it, was just to scared to.
Now that I have turned the first nut on the thing I can't stop!!
I have a ton of pics if anyone else is interested in seeing the progress of the car.

Your Charger's a lot shorter now with the front end off, huh? :icon_smile_big:

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

feels/looks like 2 ft!!

Did that too, ended up with several boxes of part and a dissasembled 68 :)
Completely lostinterest and sold it as 'Charger in a box'
Got now pros massaging the body. Got my 69 back solid end of Januari if things run right.
Yours looks like a cool project! Keep up the good work, bro!

Looking good!

Do you have a color(s) in mind?

Take lots of pictures along the way, they are really fun to look back on.
I have been rebuilding my Charger for over 4 years and its amazing how time passes.
I'm am getting closer on starting on the body work. This coming summer if I'm lucky.

Keep us updated on your progress, its so cool seeing these great pieces of history getting restored/rebuilt.

At least you got the wife and kids helping. My wife can't walk past mine without utering "stupid car". I'm a visionary, someday it will be done. I just need my kids to get old enough to help. 2 and 4. Perfect size to fit under with no strength or skills. Wish I was 3 feet tal sometimes. Good luck.

Lookin' Good! Sometimes these cars can be intimidating or really pi$$ you off, but I wouldn't trade that for anything. The fun in taking something that looks rough  and making it look new again is a great feeling. Keep up the good work!! :2thumbs:

bull

It looks pretty solid. That's good. Is it a real R/T? I know how you feel about being intimidated. Mine's all apart now and I worry that I'll forget how to put it all back together. But once you get rolling it ain't so bad.

Looks like your makin good progress! Frame off is a GM term! Our frames don't come off! We do roticery restorations!
