with 9 or so to 1 comp, what would the approximate cranking psi be?my buddy just bought a complete and running 400,that the guy claims was redone with 9 to 1 pistons, and a mild performance cam, etc.the card he has says the lift and duration are the same as the one in my car now,443/465,280/298 and 214/224 at.050-he wants to put it in his duster, but doesnt want to tear it down right yet.he heard it run and actually drove the car it was in before he paid for it,he is just curious about the cranking psi,and has no clue on how to get on line, much less to this site! thanks,Andy

In the 130-135 psi should be in the 9:1 static compression range with that cam. Have him check all cylinders with the engine warmed up to temp. Pull all the plugs and open the throttle linkage all the way for an accurate reading. A 5-10 psi difference between cylinders is fine.
