Well, without knowing their respective conditions, and all things being equal, go with the Rallye. A much more desireable car.  :2thumbs:

I'd rather have a 340 than a 360....340s are just more appealing to me. Nothing against 360's though!

ONE MORE, FOR SAME BOTH REASONS

( and you won't need to convert an SE onto a hardtop LOL, althought you didn't specified yet if the Rallye is WH23 or WL21 )

340 Chargers are Rallyes by Default so is the only way you could get 340s on to 72/73 Chargers is being a Rallye. Is more special then.

My vote is for the '73 Rallye.....

Mine is a factory 340 car, has a 360 now. The original 340 is long gone :-(

i gave up on the conversion idea. i kinda like the look now.

this is what the 340 ad says "340 magnum runs strong automatic dana rear bucket seats with console shifter frame, trunk and floors are solid body good shape, very restorable needs some work. could make a great street car the car does run good , I bought a new gas tank and it needs installed, the modual went out and I have to replace it. Dont let the price scare you off, this is a good solid car that needs some work, everything is there, I even have brand new carpet if you want it. I just need this gone, need the room. I have checked other sites and ads, I have the best deal going for a older mopar. "

and the 74 se 360
"This car has a 5.9L 360C engine with a 727 automatic transmission. Starts, runs, and drives. Needs a torsion bar on drivers side and some additional body work. The interior is nearly perfect. It has 1 crack on the dash and the headliner is ripped. Car has new gas tank, carburator, body mounts, shocks, brake booster, and master cylinder, battery and many other parts. Car was bought as a project car but didn't get done in time and now it's time for college and my parents say the car has to go. I'd hate to see it sit and fall apart. It's a good strong car"

By just reading those two ads and not having pics to go by....I still say the '73 Rallye, it seems to be a running/driving car....and its cheaper! In the '74 ad it states "Needs a torsion bar on drivers side and some additional body work", sounds like its been wrecked to me.

i saw dana rear on the 73 and i wonder if there was a swap since a dana did NOT come in a 73 and up b body stock.

my vote, 73 rallye hands down.

May be 9 3/4 they look much like a Dana and were available on 73 and 74.  I would get the Rallye

1970 Plymouth Duster FM3
1974 Dodge Dart /6/904
1983 Plymouth Scamp GT 2.2 Auto
1950 Dodge Pilot house pick up

they are too small to noticeably make a difference between the two.  the rallye IS more desireable due to what it is and the bulge hood.. the 340 is a real good kicker as that is the last year they made them.

i wouldnt even attempt to get the SE at all if I had to choose between the two.  the rallye is hands down if the frame rails and floorboards are in good shape, AND it has a title.

You are correct typo.  I jave the 9 1/4 under the wannabee for now but Stuart has a 8 3/4 for me to stick under her.  I would love to have the 9 3/4, just don't want to put that kinda money in that one.

It looks nice???? Why so low? I am gunna try for the blue one with the 340. Im a week (I get paid every  weeks.) I'll call him up and say I'd like to see your charger in a week. By then I'll have $2000 and I'll offer him that. Im just curious if he's gunna say yes or not....

yes, you will need a side mirror support bracket that goes on the inside of the door panel and allows the mirror screws to fasten the mirror to the door securely though.

Sounds like too much work. 30 more hours to 2000. 80 to 2500. Should get it in 2 weeks. (count down)

If you dont care about which one is more desirable I would get the one that needs the least amount of work. to me engine work is a lot more fun then body :Twocents:. get up under the cars, take a good looky, have a screw driver and flashlight in hand and poke around. cant wait to see which one ya got!
