There was a kink in one of the lines to tranny and i need to replace both of them where would best place to look on line for a new line  thanks

All the "Line" guys sell them like Fine Lines etc. Warning though...The repops more than suck a little and you will have to tweak them a bunch but they are better than nothing.

If you need a fix for the moment...

Just cut the line clean, install a hose and some clamps. There isnt alot of pressure in the cooling lines.

Sigh, trans cooler lines, hate them, i just had the fitting in the radiator crack, just a tiny hairline crack, probably from the line vibrating in the fitting.  I always cut them and install a trans cooler and hoses.  I always wondered why manufacture tried cooling something with other liquid thats not much cooler than the stuff its trying to cool.

Funny story:  I had a 64 Dodge Custom 880, driving down the road one day, the car just started blowing smoke, James Bond style.  WTF, stop at a light and a guy stops behind me, get s out, "hey, did you know your car is blowing smoke"?  UH Yeah gee thanks, couldnt tell.

So i get home and the clip that held the line to the trans for support had chaffed and made a tiny pinhole leak that was pointed right at the exhaust manifold.   Amazing amount of smoke.

so i could elimnate the trans line to my radiator and install aftermarket trans cooler and lines? if so do i just cork the fittings at my rad and use the same fittings coming off my transmision? thaks tom

Yes....you can plug off the radiator fittings if you want to use an external cooler......As Nacho was saying.....you can cut off the line and add  hose for a temporary fix, but to add to that.....I would put a bit of "flare" on the open ends to ensure the hose doesnt slip off  and clamp the hose  behind the flares.
