plan is to have everything checked out and go with brand new rods and pistons ,  checking the block heads and crank.  I got a new mr six pac cam yesterday to solve the over fueling and lack of vaccuum problem.

anyone recommend a reasonable priced  good tested rod and piston combo for a good stock motor build that i dont race or abuse but that i do drive the hell out of and take for major long distances  ??
  any suggestions are welcome .

Damn Stu...how'd you do that ?  :icon_smile_blackeye: Hydrolock a cylinder ?  :scratchchin:

Scat rods & Diamond pistons is what i would run for a bulletproof bottom end  :2thumbs:

Mancini has eagle rods on sale for $420. They also carry Diamond pistons but those never go on sale....not that i've seen. :P

I just bought a set of Diamond Racing Pistons from Mancini. They had the best deal around, and actually less money than buying direct from Diamond.
