LOTS of Superbirds do not have the partial VIN on the core support.  Neither of mine are stamped, and they are most certainly real cars.

Redbird

Pettybird is right about the radiator support not having a serial # on a lot of original cars. I've been of the mind that it may have been due to Superbirds having the bracket for the latch tray spot welded on to the radiator support. Perhaps if the bracket was spot welded on, the jig to hold the numbering device could not be held on to the radiator support. On the cars where the bracket was not yet installed the jig could still be attached for numbering.

Those of us that say that many radiator supports on Superbirds are sometimes not numbered are not stupid. We know how to look under the antifreeze decals, etc. The numbers on many original cars are just not there. It is also not just on early cars, missing #'s go through at least mid production.

interesting, i learned something new today. thank you for the clarification.

yea , that bird's got a lot against it .no fender tag, fiberglass nose ,  old body work that was never completed . that could turn into a nightmare and  it was in a big front accident a long time ago . who knows what damage had been done to it .

This is the car on ebay from back in the day.Rad support number no big deal door vin and quarter vin still intact RM23UOA163456.Car came with original metal nose .Why its not being used ?/ But I remember seen same owner selling it seperately

i remember this car too . i believe it was listed as fender tag lost , no buildsheet and if you where selling a car like this , wouldn't you mention in your add that you had the fender tag and build sheet . that would bring it's value up a lot .
