Nacho, el foro no sería lo mismo sin ti. Todos podríamos usar un poco más de su "fuera de los EE.UU." perspectiva. Gracias chingon

Keep teaching us/me spanish............I need it.

Although chingon is just a Mexican slang, not really a correct spanish word and the phrase can be better gramatically, but still :2thumbs:

I guess quite often "sounds" like that phrase LOL

Tim James is no longer in the race for Republican candidate for Governor of Alabama. After his request for recount was completed, no change resulted. Mr James once again came in third; he has officially conceded.

Thanks to All for a Job Well Done!

First, I want to thank the many people that worked so hard in this campaign, people in all 67 counties. There is no way to mention them by name. You know who you are and I can't put into words what you mean to me, Angela and our entire family.

I want to once again thank my staff, for their hard work and their unselfish commitment. I'd take these people into battle, never worrying about my back.

Angela and my family have been there. She's the real trooper in this thing we call a campaign.

As everyone knows, given the razor thin margin in this race, I had no choice but to push for a recount to assure 125 thousand voters that the first count was tallied correctly. As I said many times, I knew we had to take our time and do it right; and I think we did.

Additionally, as everyone knows, the totals in the recount did not change the outcome.

I want to congratulate my opponents in this race and wish them the best going forward.

Finally, I want to express my gratitude for the thousands of people who stepped up to plate to get the recount done efficiently: judges of probate, party officials, folks that work in county government across Alabama, and of course the many volunteers who engaged to see the recount was done correctly and in a timely and less costly manner. Thank you all for your public service.

And thanks to you in the press corps. Actually, your coverage has been pretty good, fair, and you've done a good job of explaining and covering the process as we've all muddled our way through it. Thanks to you, as well.

If you need me, I'll be in G'ville.

TIM JAMES
