Will 36 year old wiring be able to handle these new reproduction radios? Does anyone have one in their car? Could I direct wire it to the battery? Does the dash need to come out for this?

if you did I think in fact you are TOTALLY SAFE!!! in average, newer radios are less consumption than originals.

It should be allmost a plug and play job ( maybe except for the speakers feed, being optioned to hook 4 speakers ). Dunno really since never have see the back of the radio.
