As some of you may know I have been trying to work on building a Bird clone.  My thoughts have been to have a Nascar type appeal with a little old school look mixed in with some current paint themes.  Already bought the rims I wanted as well as the black lettered decals so now I have to start thinking harder about the paint. The base color is Petty Blue and no vinyl top.  Striping is leaning to be white outlined in black.  Long ago my original thoughts were similar to Goldberg's but has lost its appeal after I saw some already similar.  I want something different from everybody else's.  If you have some time on your hands and get a little bored, I'd appreciate some ideas to see and check out.  Copy the model pic below and use it.  I put it together to do a paint mock-up once I narrow it down some.   Here's a sample of a variation I did on MS paint with it to give an idea. I don't have any graphic programs or a lot of knowledge on using them so it's all I get to use.  This is a car I'm going to have fun with and I know it's not going to appeal to everyone but it's someting I want to do.  Let's see your talent and idea's.  Thanks, David

I'm going to look at something for the hood/nose maybe in callouts or similar that may go with the headlamp blackouts   I read the whole discussions on the blue w/red bird and Corndog's resto of it  but that nose wasn't my thing to understand the reactions it got to keep it that way.  I do remember seeing another Bird with something similar to it though.  Every time I see it I keep conjuring up this cartoon I watched in the 70's that had a big gorilla or monkey in it that put on bright red lipstick and would pucker up its lips to kiss another character.  Can't remember the name but I can't shake that image as I see it    Thanks for the reply Stu.  I probably should have posted in the Aero section but I thought it might would get a little more exposure to take a stab at it here but alas no takers.
