There was a swap meet near my location today and it was so worth going to.  I got spoiled being at MU, as there is usually not much action out in my area compared to larger areas.  Today, two guys showed up with Mopar stuff instead of the usual chevy/ford junk.  I ended up getting a nice 70 chrome loop Charger bumper with a mostly complete (abet cracked in places) grille for $100 (his asking price). :2thumbs:  Good thing I saved some grille patches years ago from one of my old 70 parts cars.  I will also be dealing further with them on some more Mopar goodies.  I also bought a box of stuff for $1 (had some oil cans in it) and later on, found that there was a good can of R-12 sitting at the bottom. :2thumbs:  I added a new Nebraska license plate to my collection for $20.  It was issued in 1919, but had an updated 1920 plate over the date (I have never seen one like this).  Now if I just would have bought the rough Coca-Cola cooler that I was looking at when I got there (figured it was going to be a few hundred when they wanted an offer, but found out later it sold for $5).......

The day got even better when I got home.  I found out that the bid that I offered on a vintage arcade game was accepted (found it at a flea market yesterday :drool5:, they wanted people to place bids on the two games).  Soon I will be the proud owner of a working original version of Space Invaders, just like the ones I played on when I was five.  I missed the bid on the Asteriods game, but it was not as nice as this one. Yes, I know I am a nerd. :coolgleamA:.......

This was just such a good day felt obligated to share.  The fleeting message for today: Never judge how a particular swapmeet will be if you have never been there......

I usually don't haggle with the seller, just ask them what they want for the item and either buy it or not.  The seller set the price, which was way lower than I expected (figured to spend around $600 or so to get it, came off of his Charger 500 that he is restoring with a mint grille/bumper).  He has some more stuff (mint set of 70 hubcaps, fiberglass daytona nose set and some 440 blocks) that I am definitely interested in later on.  There was also a lead on another 69 Charger project that I might have to chase after. :2thumbs:......

Last night, after doing an internet search, I found the 1920 Nebraska update plate was a fairly desirable piece, which means I am going to restore it.  The only Nebraska update plate that is better is the 1943 update plate (very rare due to war restrictions).....

I wish I could find those types of deals everyday, but they are rare.......
