I am thinking about buying this car. It has a sun roof, wing, buckets, console and hide away head lights. It is a Lynch road tag so little info on it..... can any of this be verified by the tag  or can someone decode the non obvious ????  there is no build sheet.

1st tag             21138 115330 444 045
                        V1F U C16
                        GF3 D5F7 CF7 908 G00 132
                        E86 D32 WS23 U1A 109938

2nd tag          " s,  h,  w,  p "   placed randomly. << anyone know what this is all about......lol

tricky lugnuts

Sun roof and wing with buckets and console, sounds awesome!!!

I'm pretty sure that WS23U is a Special Order Charger R/T, 1 is a 1971, A is the assembly plant, and 109938 is the production number...

D32 is heavy duty 727 automatic transmission, I believe
E86 is 440 4-barrel, high performance engine
V1F is some color of full vinyl top, I believe
GF3 is medium green metallic, I believe
C16 is console with buckets

Here's where I got it: http://www.mopar1.us/build.html

I'm sure that others can help more than me. I'm not familiar with the Lynch Road tags... Mine is a 1971 SE built in St. Louis. I'm in the same boat as you - no build sheet, but fender tag. With just the tag, some factory options can be determined, but others are lost in time!!!

WS23 = '71 Charger R/T
U = 440 Magnum
1 = 1971 model year
A = Lynch Road
109938 = serial number
E86 = 440 1-4bbl HP
D32 = A727 3 sp Auto
GF3 = Medium Green Metallic
D5F7 = Deluxe Buckets, Cloth & Vinyl, Green
CF7 = Dark Green Upper Door Frame
908 = Sept. 8, '70 build date
G00132 = Vehicle Order Number
V1F = Full Vinyl Roof, Green
U = Built to Specifications
C16 = Console w/Woodgrain panel
Numbers at top are Lynch Road unique gate, base & line sequence numbers. No clue of the significance of the second tag & the characters on it. Without the build sheet, there isn't any fool proof way to verify the options, as you have already surmised. Still sounds like a nice car though.

2nd tag has   " s,  h,  w,  p "   placed randomly.

The C16 is the code for a center console... The "G" prefix in the order number (G00132) indicates a Sunroof car.  The code for the hidden headlights (L37) should appear on a Lynch Rd tag on the fourth row from the bottom at mid-tag.  It's not, so that option was probably added.  The wing would only appear on the broadcast sheet as J81.

Most decoders aren't made for Lynch Rd. cars.  Check out this post I created at the 3rd Gen forum that explains them.

The second tag is for inspection marks
