rear valance corners on 70 charger
has anyone had a problem with repro ones fitting?
do you need to cut them about and extend them? ??? :flame:

Troy

Yes. See 69hemi's site for a good explanation: http://www.69hemi.com/sheet.html
Look on the menu on the left for "Corner Caps".

Troy, thanks for the link. I read that for about a hour. Good reading.

Mine must have been better made than his, mine fit pretty good but I also bought them 15 years ago.

The repro corners fit well with the current GoodMark rear quarter panels, but they need to be modified to fit right with original rear quarters.they have to sharp of an angle on the edge that attaches to the rear quarter. When I install those corners,I fit the quarter to the car,but I dont attach the bottom of the panel to the trunk extension, until after the corner is fitted to the panel, and the rear valence. This allows you to move the panel around to fit the corner to it. Another tip, make sure both sides look the same before you weld them, and bolt the rear bumper back on the car in its finished position, and check the spacing all the way around the bumper. Nothing looks worse than the corners being misaligned,or uneven from left to right! Good luck! Pete!
