You mean the F&F Charger, RD? Take it easy fellas. He's just using pics as an example. People have been stealing Chris's 69 pics for years, including me for my calendar. Well, I got permission but still... Anyway, I'm pretty sure once the pics are in public domain, and there's no trademark or watermark identifying them as someone's property, they can be copied for personal use.

So like RD said, in any language the seller is a douche.

There is no where in the ad saying he is selling the car in the pic, it states that the car is under construction and has a video of the actual car. If people don't want their pics used on the internet, keep them in a photo album in your garage.

Ok wasn't to sure how you guys felt about people using other photo's

I think as long as they are clear that the car in the pics is NOT the car that is for sale, I don't have a huge problem with it, but this one could have been worded better.

If you watch the video, it all becomes clear. The car is blue and it's no where near looking like Mr Angry.

These guys are about a half hour away from me but I've never been there.  :scratchchin: Maybe it's time for quick little jaunt.

I think it is a bit of false advertising. I question why they dont use photos of their own previous restorations. Using a photo of Mr.Angry would appear to the unsuspecting to be a car they have done.

HITMAN 149

yes... while pics on the internet w/out a trademark are fair game... i also agree w/ syd... it does give the impression that
MR ANGRY is one of their resto cars!?!?!

bingo!!! and that is why the guy is a douche... when looking at cars to buy, i dont care what the current owner "may" think it will look like.. i want to "know" what it currently looks like.  putting someone else's photo there as a "representation" is misleading in my opinion and in distaste.  Just tells me the guy is willing to forego his own morals and character (even if it is a little) to try and sell a car (could be any object for that matter).

I am not saying this because it is Mike's car, I am saying this because I think people who do this are suspect.

I really have no problem with it...but the Mr.Angry Charger is somewhat of a celebrity, and I believe that it may give a buyer a false description of the actual car under construction.  The license plate should've been blacked out, for one, number two...I think if you are going to use someone else's car as an "example"...state that it is indeed only an example and get the owners permission....for decency purposes.  Now...as far as GL clones....well....prepare for your pictures to be everywhere...cellphones...etc.....

This guy is 15 minutes away from me. I don't know him personally, but his cars aren't cheap. He'll hold onto them forever. Gerry

Back N Black

I e-mailed the guy and asked if the black Charger was one of his restorations? he said no, just wanted to show what the 68 could look like when completed. He said he did not have pics of a 68 that he restored. He did send me a couple pics of his work.
