How can I tell?

In my Charger is a stock 71 318 and a 904. I know it is not the original motor, the car is a 74. How can I tell if a big block might have been installed by a previous owner? What changes would have been made to do this?

If it was done by someone who used the aftermarket Big Block conversion mounts, it wouldn't be visible now..If it was done by a hack, then you'd see all kinds of hacked up frame/K member stuff..lots of cutting torch type cuts...I doubt anyone has put a Big Block K member it that car only to have to pull it all right back out and swap back to a 318 K member..Plus, one would have to swap in the BB Engine and Trans, along with the correct driveshaft...None of this stuff in a small block 904 car will work with the Bigger 727...
